Sometimes it’s good to just worship God. I look for something deep from God, or I look for a profound word and really I can get so much more from just allowing myself to worship. The more wholly I commit to worship, the better the time ends up being.
There are a few songs I constantly go back to that just really draw me into worship, they draw me into a deep place with Him. They beckon my being to forfeit all and just allow Him to consume me. I love this song by Rita Springer called “O God of Mine.”
Oh God of mine, I’ll have no idols
Oh God of mine, come lead the way
Oh God of mine, I’m greatly humbled
This sinner’s heart You came to save
Oh God of mine through storm and trial
Oh God of mine through death and grave
Oh God of mine in resurrection
Your scars display my soul’s refrain
Oh God of mine Who holds all nations
Oh God of mine Who saves the day
Oh God of mine, Your grace sufficient
And tender mercies new by morn
Oh God of mine, forever faithful
Oh God of mine, forever stay
Oh God of mine, forever after
These eyes upon Your face will gaze
Father, teach me to sit before you each day. In all of my life, no matter how slow or how busy, edify my will to simply be before you.

I was just reading Deitrich Bonhoeffer “Life Together Prayerbook of The Bible.” when this came in my email.
I highlighted these words as it relates to our daily worship
p61 ” A child hears and learns the biblical story fo the first time during daily worship. Mature Christians keep on learning it and learn it better and bett; and as they read and hear it o their own there will never finish their learning.
Keep it up Coooooole!
