About Me

I am a United Methodist minister who loves God and likes to share that love with everyone. I am married to Lindsay who is way cooler than me (trust me, she is). I enjoy playing golf, tennis, hiking, running, reading, watching Alabama football (Roll Tide!) and Chelsea Soccer.

I grew up feeling “called” into ministry, then I didn’t for a while and now I’m amazed at how God uses who I am to love people right next door. I love being a pastor (mostly!) and have served in the United Methodist Church since 2014. Right now, I serve as the Associate Pastor at Providence United Methodist Church in Charlotte, NC. I lead the contemporary worship service (we call it “The Net“) where a diverse group of real people look for authentic ways to love God (you should check it out if you are in the area!).

I have a B.A. from Brevard College in Integrated Studies, an M.A. from The University of Alabama in Higher Education and an M.Div. from Candler School of Theology at Emory University. Lindsay tells me I’m done with school… for now.
